So did it turn out that Cheney was WRONG after all about Iraq?

There is no question that both Bush and Cheney derided Clinton for his Nation-building exercises in Yugoslavia and Haiti and promised not to do that if elected. But 9/11 made America mad and someone had to be invaded. Since we couldn't invade an amorphous terrorist movement, nor Saudi Arabia (where the hijackers came from) Afghanistan and Iraq had to do. Iran would have been next if we hadn't been overextended and discredited by the lack of WMDs in Iraq.
