Is your chinchilla like this?

My chinchilla is so funny and cranky all the time. I had him and his friend for 5 months now and they're starting to trust me, but when I show them to my family, edan, he hides in his fleece tube and Jerry, he sits out wanting all the attention in the world by me. When I'm feeding them in the morning, edan, he always hides and makes clacking noises until I'm done then after hes done eating he'll be all happy and let me hold him and pet him. I think its funny and please don't say anything like "its because you treat him bad" or "he hates you" because these chinchillas are probably in the top 5 of the worlds most spoiled chinchillas so keep those comments to yourself, but yeah does your chinchillas sometime act a bit cranky, but even know he still likes you I just think it funny.
