Why did america expand from two or three settlements such as Plymouth or Roanoke to the 13 colonies? ?

If you really think about it you can come up with this. If we all stayed in 2 or 3 settlements without spreading out what would have happened??? Also look at things that are involved during the time. Religion especially, and the leaders too. I am not going to write an essay for you but I just gave you a few topics to research.
