Which cities across the United States are progressive and eco-friendly?

Denver or Boulder !!!!! Definitely...Seattle, Portland and Bend, OR have more temperate climates and are also good. None of these are super cheap, but I don't believe they're any worse than Chicago in terms of cost of living. Good Luck!
